Cami’s focus mode is a timing tool inside miniapps, made for giving one task a relatively uninterrupted stretch of time. A timer helps you start, but the minutes themselves are not the result. Pick the task first and decide what this session should produce, so you can judge the next step when it ends.
Before you start, cut the task down to one action
This session is only for the first three pages of the proposal: complete the background, the goal and the budget gap. When it ends, check whether these three pages are ready to send to a colleague for discussion.
This is an example of how to phrase your request. Check the actual recognition and results in the app.
“Work on the project” is too large and invites switching tasks mid-timer. Get the material ready, define what counts as done this time, and set other ideas aside for now. Choose a session of ten minutes or more, depending on the time you can actually keep.
Open focus mode and start
- Find “Focus mode” in miniapps and confirm the tool is available to you.
- Choose or describe the task for this session and look at the timer settings. Current product documentation includes timing and length settings; the exact entry point depends on your installed version.
- Once the length is set, tap “Start focus” and bring your attention back to this one action.
- If you need to interrupt, use the controls on the current timer screen; afterwards check what you actually finished, then plan a break or the next session.
This guide does not treat the countdown on the website as a record in your account. The website demo and app data are separate; your actual focus records are the ones in the app.
Judge the session by its results
- You knew what this session was meant to finish before it started.
- When it ends, you can say which parts are done and which are not.
- When something is unfinished, the next step is more specific than the original task.
For example, “focused for 25 minutes” can become “completed two entries in the budget sheet; the supplier quote is still missing”. Unfinished does not necessarily mean the timer failed; the task may be too large or the material incomplete. Handle that obstacle first next time.
FAQs
Does it have to be 25 minutes?
No. Treat the method examples as examples, not fixed rules. Check the length settings in your current tool first, then choose based on the task and the time you have.
Does ending a focus session complete the task automatically?
Do not treat a finished timer as a finished task. Check the actual content, then update the completion status in your tasks.
